Please stop this silliness of using elephants for such processions. These innocent animals serve a life of misery, abuse, outright torture in terms of being “broken, trained and made to submit” to these drunken thugs and sadists under the watch of the prelates, which is beyond comprehension. A simple Google/YouTube search will bring to light this utterly barbaric practice in a Buddhist country as ours. Leave the elephants in the wild, free and unharmed - the way nature wants it to be. Where is that damned piece of paper on the ‘prevention of cruelty to animals’ act? Our people in general, are not civilised and cultured enough to care for animals, be it wild, stray or domesticated. Rampant abuse/cruelty to animals all over. Starting at these damn pet shops springing up all over to the puppy mills, dairy farms, that wretched zoo and to the abattoirs; all are the same - despicable.
