I respect all religions.
However, I also did a similar fire walk in Dubai as a part of a management leadership course sometime back. About 20 of us walked over the same way as the picture and there was no religion attached.

The government must take some legal action against all this ..why? In the name of religion and superficial beliefs you can't put people in danger and life is under threats with this practice..what if some one dies...It is a suicide; a manslaughter or accidental death or a death due to lack of government action.. this must be banned

Initially, the Tamil separatists showed photos of people walking on fire as torture enforced on them by the Sinhalese majority government. These photos were shown to Canadian politicians and they believed what they said. This is one such thing they used.
