Even though the QR code system was introduced under the National Fuel Pass (NFP) scheme, vehicles are still seen queuing at several filling stations in Colombo. Pix by Warun Wanniarachchi

Comments - Fuel queues at filling far from over....
Daily Mirror Humbug useless to give name Tuesday, 23 August 2022 05:47 PM
Very good lesson for 3 wheeler guys. Let them suffer for causing shortage for others. Earned bad fraudulent means making country to suffer on Dollars for payment from our low foreign exchange reserves. Shame for publishing these news. Can't understand the attitude.

This is temporary, Sundays and Mondays it's usual to get queues, Tuesdays to Saturday queues will be thinning, tolerance and appreciation at this moment is paramount importance. Kanjana has done his best, never forget 5 kilometer queues. Memory is short for humans.

This just started mate few days back there was no such queues before very little I think people heard CPC going for a strike due to restructuring so they assume there will be a fuel shortage coming soon

The system would be smoother if everyone’s week didn’t reset at the same time. They could make it so your allocation resets 7 days after your previous fill. That would avoid the Monday/Tuesday queue

This may be because people prefer to pump fuel at certain stations, may be due to proximity factor.
As there are queues at certain stations , while the other stations are almost empty

I was able to get my fuel quota at the Madapatha fuel station immediately this morning. If you go at rush hours you will have to get delayed. The vehicles at the queues are all three wheelers who caused havoc at fuel stations last few months by doing business in fuel . I also bought fuel at Rs 2000 per litre in to go to hospital for treatment. Paid Rs 10,000/= for five litres for petrol. Daily Mirror should be fair in their reporting .
