Former Government Agent of Kegalle District Prema Dissanayake was unanimously elected as the Chairperson of the Kegalle District Women's Power Board of the Sri Lanka Freedom Party at the District Power and Energy Board meeting held recently.

She is a retired senior official in the Public Administration Service and currently playing a leading role in women's rights and social services.

The meeting was chaired by Ranjith Siyambalapitiya, Deputy Speaker of the Sri Lanka Parliament and Deputy Chairman of the Sri Lanka Freedom Party and he is also the Kegalle District Parliamentarian.
