Delighted care home residents were treated to an unforgettable meet-and-greet - when two penguins waddled through the door. Pensioners took turns to give Humboldt penguins, Widget and Pringle, a hug or even a pamper in the sink under the tap. The unexpected visitors at Brendoncare St Giles View, in Winchester, took it all in stride. They even used the lift to move between meeting members of the team, residents and their relatives. They were supplied by company Amazing Animals. (Daily Mail)

Our very hospitable society is hospitable to mainly foreigners. Most of them don't think.of doing something like this to the Senior citizens in Nursing Homes / Home for Elders! They only provide "alms" and think that they are "collecting"merits for their next birth!!

Taking your parents in your house because of financial reasons like in Sri Lanka and abuse and humiliate each other is a greater sin. I am perfectly taking care of here by professionals and spend qualitiytime with my children. My children are my children, not my nurses.

@ UK Senior , you are talking garbage, the whole world knows how old people in these institutes in Britain were horribly handled during the Covid , thousands died needlessly because the British Doctors didn’t give importance to these people in old peoples’ homes. But old people living with their children are looked after well by their own children during COVID and all other times.
