The Indian High Commission in Sri Lanka hosted an Iftar event at the Galle Face Hotel today which was attended by politicians, diplomats, business leaders and journalists. 

Speaking at the event, Chief Guest Foreign Minister Ali Sabry thanked the Indian government and it's people for their unwavering support and said a great path to Sri Lanka's recovery was due to the assistance rendered by India. 

High Commissioner Gopal Bagalay said Sri Lanka and India shared strong cultural ties and highlighted some of the traditions shared between the two countries.
