The Sri Lanka Committee for Solidarity with Palestine today held a public seminar to mark the International Day for Solidarity with the Palestinian People. The event held at the Bandaranaike Centre for International Studies (BCIS) at the BMICH complex. UN Resident Coordinator Hanaa Singer and researcher and activist Kusum Wijetilleke participated the event. The theme of the seminar will be “End the Last Colony in Asia: Justice for Palestine.” Pix by Kithsiri de Mel

Agree fully with your sentiment! Sri Lanka has no right, no moral right, to poke our nose in Palestine. And shame on this women Kusum Wijetilleke. In our backyard we are discriminating religions; Islam, Christians, and Hindus. Murder the minorities; butchered and burnt Tamils since 1956, bombed and killed Christians (mainly) in April 2019. Brazenly practice anti-muslim policies. Repeatedly ignore UN calls for reconciliation with minorities. And then this Kusum, campaigns for Palestinians? Charity madam, sure she knows, begins at home. And who is this fu*kwit shedding tears! Why is he crying? Was he cheated out of his promised payment for the theater?

Alfonso, don't forget that this is NOT a Government sponsored function, but a Private Group function. Being a democratic country, regardless of the Govt. Policy, Private groups and individuals have the Right to express their opinions.

Palestine people lost confidence as their own Politicians were currupted, and they're electing Hamas members to counter currupt Politicians!! Unfortunately Hamas Charter DOESN'T RECOGNIZE ISRAEL'S EXISTENCE!!!! So there's no chance for peace or any negotiations, period!!

If Palestine had not shown mercy to Jews take shelter then today there would not be a state called Israel. Yet Israel is claiming every inch of land illegally harming innocent lives with the conspiracy of west. Truth unfold in time to come Israel shall see the bitter side of the reaction to its action.
