Let's remember, UNP, SLFP, SLPP (including small parties ie: Wimal's/Gamanpilla's) are all racist parties and hands soaked in blood for instigating 1956/1958, 1977, 1983 riots and Aluthgama and Easter attacks. They were using the communal attacks for their political gains and Tamils were the most affected not only through race riots but also through standardization in Education, jobs, and colonization. Sri Lanka will never prosper until these power-hungry politicians are kicked out.

1983..? you got to be kidding to even talk about what happened 40 year back. For eg: in the 1990s can someone ask for justice for the crimes committed by the Germans in 1945? 40 years down the line there is a new generation that had nothing to do with what their grandparents did. The millennials were not even born in 1983 so how can they give justice to you?

Mr Sirithunga, this incident was happened when RW was powerful minister at the time. You were supported RW led government from 2015 to 2019 and you would have raised this type of placard during that time to do justice to the people who undergo this hardships.

What a shame. No justice was done to these victims for 39 (thirty nine) years. These people were murdered while they were held in prison. The state is responsible for their safety while being kept in prison.

@ Rohan Seneviretne - you are a frog in a well. Are you not aware that several cases are pending over Nazi crimes? Recently I read that in the UK, a farmer who killed his wife 35 years ago and buried her body in a cess pit was caught and sent for life imprisonment. The farmer now is 80 years old. Please grow up.

Tamil diaspora spent billions of Dollars to uplift quality of life of those who are living below poverty line mainly in North , East , Central and also in other part of teh countries. They collectively offered $52 billion to the Government of Srilanka but the Govt - who used to rob big time- did not want that .. instead they choose to sell the country the likes of Chinese .. get some knowledge mate as to what is actually happening around you ..
