Are you praying that when you fire your guns it will hit the target? Naval warfare has nothing to do with religion. It's all about Physics and motion. It's science, not religion that keeps navies afloat.

In which country, security forces conduct religious ceremonies? US marine chiefs don’t go to churches with uniforms and Chinese navy chiefs do not go to temples with uniforms. Only in Sri Lanka and it speaks volumes about religion in politics and forces!!

We need a strong Navy primarily to counter the Indian threat. If the Chinese could provide us with about 6 diesel attack submarines and about four nuclear powered attack submarines then with additional about twenty small fast boats with the best anti ship missiles , we could win in any naval war with the third rate Indian Navy.

This is where the SLN or the whole armed forces are biased. There is no necessity to have religions in the Navy. Navy should not have ceremonies based on a single religion. These are the failures of this country.
