The Sinhalese do not want to see commemoration of innocent people killed, because majority of that was done by Sinhalese using State Entities. These commemorations are an embarrassment and shame to their race, so obviously they do not want them to happen.

I have only one question to those particular Tamils commemorating the killings of Tamils in the final stages of the war in 2009 at Mullaitivu. This civil war had been going on for thirty years (1979 to 2009), during this period more Tamils died than those who died in 2009. So, why the deaths of the Tamils prior to 2009 is not commemorated by the Tamil activist ,their only focus is at what happened in 2009.
