They know who is smuggling drugs and who is selling drugs in large quantity. they want to stop drugs its only matter of days for them. They have to catch the big fish if they have back bones. They do this to terrify the innocent people.

Look at the first picture. How unfit, sleepy and lazy these senior officers look. Then check out similar senior military/police officers in developed countries. Fit, lean and active looking. This photo alone will make you realise that Sri Lanka will NEVER get anywhere.
