Seen in pictures, army officials stand at the P.D.Sirisena Ground, Maligawatte to vaccinate people who are 60 years old and above. The vaccination program started at 7.00 a.m. Only less than 25 people arrived until now at the vaccination centre to receive the jabs. The Colombo Municipal Council (CMC) announced yesterday that the Sinopharm vaccine would be administered to people aged 60 and above. If attendance above 60 years is poor why don't we have jabs for people above 50 years then?? Make sense!!

Maybe most people in the area have got the Astra Zeneca (remember that queues were long for that) and are waiting for the second dose? Also, surely the authorities would have details of how many more in the area are to be vaccinated and need to publicise with that information.

I visited Jayasinghe Hall to get the vaccination last week and they refuse as I was taking medicine for my diabetic. But in other Centres this rule did not apply.

Many people above 60 not even know that there is vaccination for them. Others can not come to this place. Poor management of the government.
