People are queued up to buy diesel and kerosene around the filling sheds in and around Colombo, as the country is faced with severe scarcity of fuel, cooking gas etc., In spite of all these crisis, people are also seen protesting vehemently against the government for its failure to take appropriate action to control the present economic crisis and demanding the rulers to step down. It's ridiculous that a person who is also a citizen of another country can sit in the Sri Lankan Parliament or be President. This would not happen in any other country, as it is a blatant conflict of interest. Try it in the US and see what would happen.

Hey Ed, in America ONLY President has to be American Born citizen no duel citizenship!! However, you can be duel citizen and become governor or congressman!! Yeah!!

Who gave him the 2/3 of power? It's the very same people who are in the parliament. Now they are screaming from the bottom of their throats. Would he leave? I don't think so. Wait until JR returns from the grave to reverse the constitution.
