A memorandum of understanding (MoU) was signed between the Sri Lanka Bureau of Foreign Employment (SLBFE), the Sri Jinaratana Institute affiliated with the Gangaramaya Temple and Korean Cluelife Institute to establish a training center to train Sri Lankan’s for employment in the Korean shipbuilding industry.

This is better than sending people to middle east. Pls don't send Sri Lankan to middle east... they have oil money only, their cultures are not compatible to our workers, their current generation academic records are poor, they verbally abuse and physically torture workers. Short term financial benefit long term traumas and health damage. When they return to Sril Lanka they will be very unhealthy and damaged souls. They will not be the same. We will incur more expenses to the health care system and families will suffer for generation due to the traumas and abuses.

This a very good step.This will generate Forex.There is a lack of skilled workmen for shipbuilding /repairing industry in SL. Eventually this Training center could also produce skilled workmen for local shipbuilding Industry as well.However trainees will like to go to Korea for the salary they pay and the facility available there.
