The Socialist Youth Student Front today staged a silent protest in view of the independence day celebration at the Polduwa Junction carrying black flags. Pixi Nimalsiri Edirisinghe.

If they are really interested they could read the budget papers and speeches and they could learn for themselves that the Rs. 200 million is being spent on. It is not on the fanfare that it is made out to be. For a starter, and if they are interested to know, half of the allocation goes toward reforestation projects.
