Does not surprise us to read about how inconsistent our team is or does this prove that Pakistan are way better? Give credit where it is due but understand that things can be put right with motivation and hard work. All is not lost.

Poor team selection for SL was the main cause for our defeat. However, the young talented players of Pakistan gave 100% on batting, bowling and fielding and won the Test series. Congratulations.

Our Politicians and businessmen in our Board interfered and had all their players to play on a crucial Test match and badly defeated. This nonsense has to be stopped. Even for our Test squad we must try out One-day and T20 batsmen and spinners.

After preparing doctored substandard wickets against touring sides to suit the Sri Lanka spinners like the Galle Cricket Grounds and winnng Sri Lanka cricket has learnt a bitter lesson when the Pakistanis spinners exploited those conditions even better. They thrashed the Sri Lanka cricket team by an innings and 222 runs winning the series 2 nil. Also winning against teams like Ireland, Zimbabwe, UAE, Scotland etc. is not going to help Sri Lanka Cricket compete with countries like Australia, India, England, NZ and South Africa in the ODI Cricket World Cup in India in October.
