Not even if the spirit of Lord Buddha, Jesus Christ, the Prophet Mohammed or Ganesh the elephant god were to appear in Sri Lanka (wow, what a boost that would be for tourism) would the stubborn mute mule Ranil be willing to listen.

Our people who all these years were tolerant of State suppression as long as it was applied to "others" has now woken up and protesting because those who we considered our protectors now want to take away our right to say we have no food, no fuel, no medicines etc
