All government roles not deemed necessary and that could be done without need to be done away with to reduce state payroll burden on the country.

A good decision by the government. Useless job position. Terminate exisiting jobs too after giving about 6 months salary. It is high time we update the labour laws. Any pvt or public sector job longee than 1 year should be able to be terminated giving 6 months salary. 6-12 months job with 3 months salary. Anything less than 6 months with 1-2 months salary.

Culture does not need an officer. It is the collective behavior of groups of peoples. It has its own dynamics, which are controlled and directed by the collective force of the group. If one person begins to supervise, direct or tinker it, it is inviting for trouble. It is an invitation for autocracy, first by the officer, then with his help, the government.

what a waste of tax money to maintain this officer and this office, and these salary earning (non tax paying) employees are on the streets instead of being inside their office doing some work

There are many such useless offices and officers maintained by the Govt. using tax money. Recently, I saw a Tourist Information Office inside the CMC premises, with many staff.
What do these people do on a daily basis from 9am to 5 pm.
No tourist walks in to CMC to obtain any information.
What a waste of tax payers money

Leeches feeding on public money! Please abolish the posts. If they are so capable why can't they work elsewhere and earn a decent living!
