Commuters along with their children and belongings, were stranded at the Fort Railway Station due to train cancellations. Eleven scheduled trains were cancelled today due to the absence of locomotive operators and railway guards. Pix by Nimalsiri Edirisinghe

and there was an idiot from the high management of the railways department who said that although 11 trains has been cancelled today, the commuters were not adversely affected.

Obviously, the railway department scheduled extra trains for the festive season without doing the proper planning and organising. Oh, actually, I forgot that they have zero Planning and organisation skills.
