Tamil missing from AG’S Dept. Smart Library plaque

The Smart Library of the Attorney General’s Department was declared open by Attorney General Dappula de Livera and Chinese Ambassador Qi Zhenhong last Wednesday. Interestingly, the plaque that had been erected to mark the opening of the library was only in Sinhala, English and Mandarin, ignoring Tamil, one of the two official languages of Sri Lanka.

Sad to see even the Sector of Law is ignoring Tamil. I do see the politics of China as this is not the 1st time they are involved in ignoring Tamil. I may urge Singhalese people, Singhalese and Tamils were living harmony for many centuries in Sri Lanka. Only outsiders made divide and rule.
