Certain huge trees which are located in the Colombo city limits have been planted even before the British colonial period. Further these trees are now over matured. The prime duty of the municipality is to identify and remove such trees in collaboration with state timber cooperation. Until the municipality takes prompt action to remove these hazards trees nobody can prevent these unfortunate tragic incidents

My deepest condolences. It's very sad to see that such things should not happen to any living creature. It's a time to turn to the religious path now. As Lord Buddha said, 'Life is like a water bubble on a lotus leaf,' this is the nature of life, and it has occurred now. According to the beliefs of the victims and their families, let's go with the religious route to find some peace.

Bus Driver - Just tired after 38 hours of a weeks bus driving Friday, 06 October 2023 03:57 PM
This is truly a sad and appalling situation. I'm a Volvo/Merc bus driver in Sydney and this would devastate me if this happened to my bus. Are trees assessed by CMC or are they sitting on their fat bums doing nothing?
