On the occasion of the 77th anniversary of the United National Party (UNP), a religious ceremony was held at Party Headquarters, Sirikotha while floral tributes to the former leaders were made by party seniors. On the occasion UNP General Secretary Palitha Range Bandara, Party President and Member of Parliament Vajira Abeywardena, Party's National Organizer and President's Senior Advisor on National Security Sagala Ratnayake, Party Vice Leader Akila Viraj Kariyawasam, former Education Minister Dr. Karunasena Kodithuwakku, Executive Director Shamal Senarath and others were present. The Party must highlight those who destroyed the Party to its current level like Ranil and Ravi (the greatest Finance Minister in the world). The UNP is running parallel to the Government which also has brought the country to be bankrupt !
