I live in London, the English fruits we have here pale into insignificance compared to the delicious fruits in Sri Lanka. When I was studying at a leading school in Colombo , which had Christian ethos, we were brainwashed by the Christian teachers about “ Great English Fruits “.

Sorry, I admit the English fruit is nothing compares to tropical fruit. The cause is our climate, so I apologize for our climate.

Duriyan not my cup of tea it stinks too much Saturday, 13 May 2023 12:54 AM
Tree will have fruits and farmers will always bring out these to sell. The country however is in a stink and going with a thousand good intentions to hell it will not climb out of for another then year.

@ Duriyan not my cup of tea it stinks too much: Though it has a strong flavour, lots of tourists ENJOY it. I have personally seen this along Havelock Road.
So what stinks to you, may NOT stinks to another.

These delicious tropical fruits may be seasonal in Sri Lanka but widely grown in many asian countries like Vietnam Malaysia Indonesia Thailand and even in Tropical North Queensland in Australia etc. The word Rambuttan comes from the Malay term Rambuth Uthan which means hair from the forest.

Each country and weather brings out fruits of different hue and flavour ,so let's enjoy them for what they are and let each enjoy fruits of our own liking. It has nothing to do the schools or teachings.I too went to Christian school and one one spoke of fruits except when I was studying the alphabet.

J.D what does your comment mean ?.If you do love our fruits so much come back to Sri Lanka and go to a non Christian school. Why are you living in a Christian country?Wish you would make comments without deriding any country. What a moron.

@ Brit, why are you neurotic to respond to every comment that mentions Britain. You are not British because loads of your past “squeaks” about Britain was patently wrong. Most probably you are a Sri Lankan converted Christian condemned to play
“ Slave Role To White Master” while a brown skin Hindu is the Prime Minister telling your “ Master” how to live in his own country.

J D, Eating all the fruits in SL will not help it going down the drain mate. I will eat the stale rotten fruit in England than live in SL.
