Photo taken on january 28, 2011 shows one of the four elephants held 'hostage' in Morocco walking on a no man's land close to Casablanca's Great Mosque, following European Union travel restrictions that prevent wild animals coming from Africa to enter the EU. But having spent more than six months in Morocco “under European rules they have technically acquired the 'nationality' of the country where they are,” the EU told AFP on January 27. Morocco, however, has no regulations on animal health compatible with EU rules and suffers moreover from foot and mouth disease. The elephants left France on tour in 2005. AFP PHOTO

The elephants look well fed, happy and healthy. No chains are used tethering them to trees- unlike in Sri Lanka. The carer does not appear to threaten them with a ' hendu'- again a common practice in Sri lanka. Please keep them wherever they are!

Message to Morocco: If you don't want em please give them to us so that we can ill treat them and maybe kill them at Pinnawela!!!!!
