I totally agree with sacrificing animals in this modern era but do we practice Buddhism in the true sense in Sri Lanka. Your conscience will give the answer

Protest against the slaughetr of animals is indeed laudable. But it should be conducted in a manner that will not create any racial dissension. Otherwise we will again see the spectre of man slaughter

This is Sri Lanka land of buddhists. all animals in this country should live in harmony. Moreover, this is a civilized country. Get these devil worshipers out of this society.

Before trying to stop animal killings by others we should stop doing and encouraging it by being vegetarians. Bhikkus should set an example first by partaking only vegetarian food.

Useless people, where is Mathata Titha? During last year over 2,800 new liquor licenses have been issued and revenue increased in billions. Example is set at the Temple Trees.

Are you going to protest animal slaughter at other places too? Such as Marktets, slaughter houses, fishing etc etc.. Or is this just a one off-protest?

before trying to correct people from other religions, why aren't we trying to correct our own people from all the wrong doings?? Follow all mass killings of humans during the last few months...almost all done by so called Buddhists... We should get together to clean our back yard before going to our neighbours'
