Ans it was only a short shower though heavy. So what have the RDA and CMC been doing all this time? Putting a facial to Colombo?

Millions if not billions are wasted on trying to make the city nice. but its time to build the drains and try to put a stop to this floods. think this is the only capital in the world which goes under water even if it drizzles !!

More than six months! still the Galle Road under construction, and can imagine how the road would be with all the incomplete diggings.

Tomorrow will the paper publish about injuries and accidents due to incomplete roads along Galle Road?

I live in a lane at havelock town close to the flooded area. The RDA recently made the pavements about a half-a-foot higher than all the adjoining lanes which connects to havelock road. There are no gullies or proper drainage system to remove the rain water from any lane. Every time it rains the road is flooded and so our houses.
Poor planning at its best. Beautification without a plan or a cause.
