The main Tsunami commemoration ceremony was held this morning in Peraliya, with the participation of political leaders and residents of the area. The solemn ceremony was in memoriam of the many lives that were lost during that fateful day eight years ago and two minutes of silence was observed as a mark of respect to those who lost their lives.Pix by Indraratne Balasooriya

Just goes to prove this was a natural disaster, Belief in a god creates nothing except intangible emotional solace for those who require it. i actually find it funny that people still belive there is a god sitting watching 7 billion peoples every move. we are no more than ants in an ant farm, or gold fish in a bowl

Why ask god for favors, if you believe that he was responsible for this tragedy? Many of us will never believe that some magic man in the sky created all of this when evolution, physics, chemistry & naturel phenomena can provide much more plausible explanations . There really is no point in people preaching about a man in the sky.
