More than hundred supporters of the National Freedom Front (NFF) staged a protest outside the US Embassy in Colombo criticising the US sponsored resolution against Sri Lankan which was passed at the UNHRC sessions this morning.

Angry protesters carried large placards and banners with images of US President Barack Obama, United Nations Human Rights High Commissioner Navi Pillay and Indian Prime Minister Manmohan Singh and slogans that read ‘American council a tool of imperialism’, ‘Attacks on monks a RAW-CIA joint venture’, ‘Obama a mass killer’ and ‘We condemn Indo-American suppression’ opposite the embassy where a large number of policemen and STF officers provided additional security to the US embassy.
