Thank You Mr. President for the visit and encouraging the local industry. I hope the products on display was not the cheap Chinese stuff we have got used to during the last 10 years. Time for changer and change we must.

To boost the living standard of our people is the first and foremost task. China is a great source for a variety of products in price and quality. From China we are reachable for the non-expensive stuff for the low-income earners and the not cheap ones for the high-income earners. During the past 10 years we have got used to the cheap Chinese stuff, but we will surely be used to the high-price ones in the following years. We benefited a lot from China, its donation, its low interest loan, its investment in Sri Lanka and so on. For me, China is part of my life. We need her.
