Family members of imprisoned LTTE suspects who are currently on a hunger strike urging the government to take immediate steps to prosecute them or release them, held a protest at the Vavuniya Municipal Council grounds this morning. Members and supporters of the Tamil National Alliance (TNA) also joined the protest. Pix by Romesh Madushanka

Reasonable demand. Justice delay is justice deny.
In fact majority LTTE carders who are now in jail are said to be involved in serious crime against civilians of srilanka.
They never extended any right of people speically tamils of north when they had gun under Prabakaran.
However, as a responsible government it is prudent to expedite the prosecuting these people and deliver justice to those who were killed and suffered.
This should not be dragged or prolonged anymore. Take them to court and follow the rule of law.

What are they protesting about.? These cases take a lot of time as a lot of evidence and research has to be done before they are brought before a court.

Just look at the courts in the Hague where war criminals are tried, it literally takes years.

The terror was ended 36 months ago only and these guys who waged war against the GOSL need to be brought to justice and punished.
