Many children from poor families are taking rice and water to school for lunch.
Eggs, meat, fish and vegetables have become luxury food. What our politicians pets are gifted to eat (word expensive formulas) our children aren't gifted.

Unless you really need some types of vegetables do not buy at their price and encourage them. Let it rot and then throw away. Every season these vendors have some story to say.

Now that old cunning joker will say lets import veggies. He imported eggs to reduce prices like mahadanamuththa. Only thing happened was small scale farmers left the industry,

The man who knows plucks leafy bunches from other peoples gardens and sells it on the roadside has already imposed 18% VAT.

Price cards vary at 50 gms to 500 gms. The vendors immediately start indicating prices for lower weights as the price rise. It is less confusing to have all vegetable, fish and meat prices for 100 gms. (By the way, would Ranil, MR or any of the fat pumpkins think twice about these high prices when they buy?)

There is no control and price protections over many local produce food .vegetables fruits condiments and many basic essentials for the past 2 years things have become extremely high prices almost from 200% to 500% cost of living to have meal for basic family its beyond Ridiculous the last thing you want to see people are staving due to not shortage of food its purely due to ignorance careless not properly monitored and no proper procedures in place if basic local produce have no system in market place then the country will head towards disaster government must take full responsibility to provide effortability for 80% population that are extremely in financial difficulties to bring cost of living down on very basic needs immidiatly.....

India has banned import of big onions, but there were stocks in hand, traders in all circumstances exploit the poor consumers, these are artificial increases effected by traders.
