Most likely illegal settlers escaped from north east former war zones. That does not look like a typical Sri Lankan village but more like a reserve of some sort. Best is to resettle them.

The Area is so beautiful. Also, The people helping this old woman, wow.
I dont think we would do this in colombo.
We probably dump even our own parents in a nursing home or leave them all alone when time pursues whilst we enjoy ourselves!.. This is what happens when luxury comes in, everything is forgotten including our basics.

DM is a reputed paper. We the people know this real. well done for bringing this to national attention. We built fly overs in Humbanthota because we got votes. From this village we got votes but did not even have a canal, drain, bridge or culvert to ditch the ballot boxes.

No body knows to which district or electorate this village belonged. No point assigning a Pradeshiya Sabha. They cannot do anything , no MP nor Ministers but President.

In fact we must get rid of so called Provincial councils etc governed by useless idiots.

Please send this pictures to Presidential secretariat. Then they will pull up all the bureaucrats.
