Two Lankan nationals who attempted to smuggle gold biscuits valued at Rs. 18 million to Mumbai were arrested early this morning by customs officials. The two suspects had attempted to smuggle the gold biscuits weighed at 3.06kg by tying them to their persons. Pix by Deepa Adikari

hmmm.. and can some one tell me how dumb it is to try to smuggle gold or for that matter iron out of the country when there are metal detectors.. 2 people won't be that dumb to carry 18million worth of gold that way unless they had some promise of getting inside support...
