This demonstrates how students in rural area schools are disadvantaged and handicapped to receive good quality education on par with schools in colombo, and their handicap in entering the universities and later at the job market. Therefore it is high time that the government channel more funds and exercise greater supervision of rurral schools to ensure that there standards are elevated on par with Colombo schools.
