Sri Lanka regardless of what it gave our people in the decades since independance, has always withheld giving them adequate rights for free expression. We are still stuck in the same mindset as when we got independence when it comes to free speech. Nothing has moved, but only gotten worse in the past 50 years.

It is remarkable. People always waiting to be told by politicians. They deserve to get horns after 70 years of uncritical servility.
