Encouraging private universities in the country is not bad. But what about the future of our young intelligent students who are not affordable to enter this universities.

DM cartoons speak out loud. It is grossly unfair and criminal to neglect the State Universities which cater to the middle class and below, who can never afford to pay the fees in private Universities..

Failure of government Universities occurred mainly because of
1.politically infected teachers. these goons licked whole dirty body of politicians for the sake of their benefits. 2.Recruitment of lazy teachers only considering their educational certificates. 3.Foolish and Uneducated Ministers for every ministries. (Lawyers mainly) so they've no knowledge to utilize universities and knowledge. 4.Student have no value because it given in free of charge.

Though the State cannot shift its responsibility to the private sector in education and higher education, the quality of education depend on the human capital, and those people who are already recruited as professors or probationary lecturers in Lankan universities have a gigantic task ahead of them to be globally competitive in their job... Universities can flourish only if the academic community's capabilities are improved, which is a least concern for the ruling ...i..ots.
