Yes, No unwanted demands, No strikes, No ragging. Unlike in state universities all students who attend private universities are fully aware that they pay for their studies and would be mindful to get best results for what they spent!

private universities are important for countries development. We need them if we have to retain the talents in our country else they will go to developed countries for the same. Any developed country has lot of private universities.
The facilities/faculties in our state universities are much much better than the ones in India. I studied in Indian state univiersity and it was pathetic except for some of the students dedication.
There are lot of students who finish A level but do not have any degree because of unavailability of universities. But if they have to compete in this global market they need a degree. Come outside of Sri Lanka, every tom, dick and harry has a degree behind his name.
Believe me if we as a country need to develop, then private universities is a must in this globalized economy

As a person who attended a stste university in Sri Lanka, I strongly believe that this country needs more private universities. It not only promotes investments, saves forex, brain drain, provides better opportunities and more/better people wi;; think of becoming academics.
