Very nice cartoon and a lesson for all of us, Sri Lankans. Aways stand on your own feet, then there will be nothing to fear.

Sure. We must not forget how Srimavo took us to nearly bankrupt with the Chinese collaboration while all the other South Asia nations went for a good living standards by going along USA. And still they are thriving..

By any chance you have no feet, then do not stand. If you do, you fall down. Is Sri Lanka heading that way?

A country that completely survives on loans, taxes and fines, will never stand on it's own feet.

Seriously? Thriving? South Asia includes India, Pak, B'desh, Nepal, Maldives, Bhutan, Afghanistan & SL. South Asia along with sub-Saharan Africa have some of the poorest people on planet EARTH. And don't forget India was a Communist Soviet ally until its collapse. Indian economic reforms happened in 1992 compared to SL who went pro-US 1977. Even in India states like Maharashtra, Kerala, Punjab, Tamil Nadu (contrary what some here think) are pretty wealthy & developed, but some others are extremely poor and have very large populations (Bihar). Maybe you are confusing South Asia with South-East Asia.
