Danushka Gunathilaka has been brought into face England in the third and the final Test to be played at the SSC grounds starting Friday. He is replacing injured skipper Dinesh Chandimal. Chandimal who suffered a groin injury in the first Test in Galle, missed the second Test in Kandy. Gunathilaka has played five Tests so far. 

Sri Lanka who lost the second Test by 57 runs and thereby conceding the series 2-0 had Charith Asalanka as replacement but has been dropped from the third Test.

"Dinesh Chandimal, who missed the 2nd test due to an injury will not take part in the 3rd Test match vs England, as he is still recovering from the injury," an official SLC release stated.

Meanwhile England has replaced James Anderson with Stuart Broad for the final Test.
