Ireland national team’s tour of Sri Lanka for an one-off Test has been postponed, Sri Lanka Cricket announced yesterday.

The match was to take place between December 8-12 but board said new dates will be announced soon.

The tour was not part of SLC’s original broadcast agreement, which was inked during
the year 2013, at a time when Ireland was not a full member country.

Hence, Sri Lanka Cricket in consultation with Ireland Cricket decided to reschedule
the tour to a later date to ensure that the proposed one off test match will come under
the next broadcast agreement, which SLC is planning to sign with a prospective
partner during the year 2020.
