Oozed with talent and potential, Lahiru Thirmanne was considered the next big thing when he broke into the national side in 2010. But inconsistence performances kept him away from international cricket for over 18 months. 

With his performance against India during the recent series at home, Thirimanne seems to have cemented a permanent place in the national side.
