The First 4-Day Unofficial Test match between Sri Lanka Emerging Team and the touring Bangladesh Emerging Team was heading for a highscoring draw at the Rangiri Dambulla Stadium Friday.
The Bangladesh Emerging Team went on to declare their first innings with a massive 502 for nine and the home side in reply ended the third day at a formidable 298 for seven.
The Sri Lanka Emerging Team innings was built around two superb centuries from opener Navod Paranavithana (136) and Skipper Sonal Dinusha (106) with the pair sharing a third wicket stand of 223 runs.
Paranavithana struck 18 boundaries while Dinusha had nine boundaries and a six during his knock.
Earlier, Bangladesh Emerging Team resuming from the overnight score of 472 for seven, reached 501
for nine with right-arm pacie Eshan Malinga claiming a five-wicket haul. (M. Shamil Amit)
