With the objective of promoting the skills of existing masons across the country, while providing a readily accessible database to large and small contractors in Sri Lanka, Holcim Lanka recently launched masons.lk.

This website is dedicated towards maintaining a large pool of masons in Sri Lanka who are equipped either with qualifications or years of experience, and link them to contractors both local and global, who are willing to provide job opportunities for this segment whilst also helping to develop the livelihood of masons.
Thanks to the launch of this website, for the first time in Sri Lanka, individual house builders, contractors, engineers and architects will now have greater convenience in selecting the right manpower for their construction needs. The need for this website was born through the understanding that finding masons with the right skills and experience is still a challenge in Sri Lanka so it is envisaged that the launch of this website will address this need.

In addition to providing information on the mason’s region, qualifications, experience and specialties, the website also offers information on recommended products, Holcim Lanka’s many corporate social responsibility (CSR) initiatives, engineering news and FAQs and is designed in a user-friendly manner for the convenience of all users.

Speaking about the launch of this website Holcim Lanka Marketing Manager Channel Development Dinesh Hamangoda said, “This has been a dire need for some time and we are proud to see this materialise today. Whilst enabling house builders across the country to source skilled masons from the vicinity of their site, the website also provides masons with a platform to locate good job opportunities. We, at Holcim, will coordinate between both parties once we receive a request and will offer assurances to both parties to guarantee a smooth partnership. We urge masons and house builders alike to utilize this resource to better develop their businesses and livelihoods.”
