NDB Jaffnaspire receives overwhelming response

NDB Jaffnaspire held recently in the Jaffna peninsula received a tremendous response from the people in the region. The mammoth effort by NDB in Jaffna during these four days comprised of several community development projects, an Investor Forum, a vehicle fair, a mega door-to door campaign and a musical show by the famed Indian Super Singers.  
Community development elevate lives of over 1000 individuals: With NDB Jaffnaspire, the bank reached out to elevate the living standards of the Sivappomi home for the elders with the donation of essential items such as solar water heating systems, water purification equipment, commercial gas cylinders and commercial gas cookers. The project is expected to benefit close to 175 indigent elders taking refuge at the establishment. 
In addition, the bank donated 40 patient bedside lockers to the surgical ward of Thelippilai base hospital, which provides healthcare services to over 750 patients monthly. 
Investor Forum attended by over 200: An Investor Forum was held at the Tilko City Hotel in Jaffna. Close to 200 traders, entrepreneurs and other prominent individuals in the peninsula attended the event. The participants gained exposure to novel wealth creation tools along with expert investment advice at this forum, which was preceded by NDB CEO Rajendra Theagarajah along with expert investment advisors from NDB Wealth Management, NDB Securities and AIA Insurance, Sri Lanka.    
Mega town storming and vehicle fair - draws in more than 2000 visitors: NDB’s banking professionals and lending advisors roamed the streets of Jaffna and its outskirts in a door-to-door campaign with the aim of creating awareness of the bank’s customised financial services offerings to individuals, businessmen, professionals, students, etc. The bank also pioneered the first-ever vehicle fair in the peninsula presenting a wide range of vehicles at a single location in partnership with 10 giant vehicle dealers including, DIMO, AMW, Toyota Lanka, Ideal Motors, Micro Cars, etc. The vehicle fair held in Muttavelli Grounds, in the Jaffna city was received with much enthusiasm recording patronage of over 2000 visitors within just two days.  
Walk-in interviews: Concurrent to the above, a series of walk-in-interviews were conducted by NDB with the aim of providing opportunities for qualified, skilled individuals in the peninsula, who are in pursuit of careers to obtain suitable positions in the bank.  
‘Super Singers’ live in concert: The four-day series of activities in the peninsula concluded with a mega musical show presented by the famed performers of Super Singers – a much celebrated, Indian reality TV programme aired on Vijaya TV. The musical show drew massive crowds to Sellamuththu Grounds in Manippay, Jaffna.
