‘Aswesuma’ complaints process impractical - Harsha alleges deliberate design failure

MP Harsha de Silva said that there are practical issues in lodging complaints over the government’s ‘Aswesuma’ welfare benefits programme. “Anyone who lodges a complaint must enter the ID number of the person they are complaining against. The process also requires a One-Time Password (OTP),” he said, claiming that the procedure has been deliberately designed to be impractical.
