Sri Lanka Cricket don't have much of a say in the scheduling of the 2024 cricket World Cup as it hardly contributes anything towards the coffers of the governing body the ICC. As a result Sri Lanka Cricket cannot demand the best facilities and scheduling of matches at the current world cup. As such Indian Cricket Board (BCCI) which contribues the major share of the revenue precisely 65% is funding and subsidising Sri Lanka Cricket while the rest of the 40 % revenue for the ICC comes from countries like England Australia and NZ. Even the Lanka Premier League (LPP) is organised and run by the BCCI. As we are under obligation to both the ICC and the BCCI no wonder we are recieving step motherly treatment at the current world cup.
