NPP will display vehicles, show all wrong information and now sell the abolish executive presidency card to gain 2/3. People will blindly vote. That will be it!

Why not a constitutional amendment be enacted to give the executive powers to the other two branches of governance and keep the presidency as a ceremonial one just like in India. The governance structure in Sri Lanka does not overlap the other two branches of governance thereby rendering the executive to be more powerful. The abolishing of the executive will be a tedious task for any new government without a two thirds majority in parliament, the other organ in the governance structure. The Westminster system of Bi Cameral Legislature if it is mooted will be a good governance structure for the proposed system change.

He has to abide by him promise on abolishing the executive presidency and on wiping out corruption along with punishing the crooks. If he fails to do it within the 1st 5 years the 43% will again shrink back to 3%.
