Mushroom cultivators in Sri Lanka are grappling with production challenges amid rising demand, intensified by pandemic disruptions and economic pressures. 
Despite strong market interest, many small-scale growers cite difficulties in meeting quality and quantity standards with traditional methods. 


Speaking to Mirror Business, they stressed the need for enhanced support from governmental and international agencies that focus on SME initiatives.
They asserted that with improved knowledge, they will be able boost yield and product quality.
