With the aim of providing a seamless digital banking experience to its customers, People’s Bank upgraded its Athurugiriya Service Centre into a fully-fledged branch.

The new branch was ceremonially opened to the public on October 21, making it the 364rd People’s Bank branch in the country.

People’s Bank Chairman Sujeewa Rajapakse, Chief Executive Officer/General Manager Ranjith Kodituwakku, Senior Deputy General Manager Payment and Digital K.B. Rajapakse, Deputy General Manager Channel Management Mahinda Premanath, Kaduwela Municipal Council Mayor Buddhika Jayavilal, People’s Bank Head of Marketing Nalaka Wijayawardana, Assistant General Managers Rohini Madurawala and T.M.W Chandrakumara, Colombo Outer Regional Manager Lal Peiris, Assistant Regional Managers Vinodani Pieris and Sudarma Subashini, together with Branch Manager A.G. Manori and other bank officials as well as customers took part in the event.

The opening ceremony was carried out in accordance with the COVID-19 health guidelines.
