100,000 MT crude oil ship arrives Sapugaskanda refinery to resume operations mid next week



  • The second consignment of  120,000 MT of crude is scheduled to arrive between August 23 and 29

Refining activities at the Sapugaskanda oil refinery will resume operations by mid next week after the arrival of a consignment of crude oil, the Power and Energy Minister said.  

He said a shipment of 100,000 MT crude oil arrived at the Colombo port on Saturday and quality sampling had taken place yesterday. 


Meanwhile, he said the second crude oil cargo of 120,000 MT is scheduled to arrive between August 23 and 29.  
Both consignments of  crude oil were shipped by Russian Urals Crude Oil, the Minister said.
